For all of us in Missoula for New Year's... let's come up with a place and time to meet, shall we? Somewhere at First Night Missoula? Somewhere afterwards where we don't have to abide by the alchohol-free policy?

I am home home home.

I am now home. I woke up convinced that I was not, however, and had a few panicked moments in which I thought I had missed the Greyhound to Missoula and was stuck ing Tacoma for the entire break before realizing that my cat was purring on top of me. Huzzah for furry mammals!

On the greyhound yesterday I rode the entire 14 hour ride sitting in the seat ahead of Roth Pederson. He's about as Non Sequitor as ever. Somewhere between Spokane and St. Regis (I was asleep) Nick Gebhert joined our ranks. He is studying to be a chemical engineer in Moscow, ID. He characterizes this as becoming the ultimate slacker (get paid the big bucks to find a way to get the same thing done with less energy).

Sign my parents don't deal with technology well #34: The answering machine and screen saver are the on the same settings I put them on before we graduated two years back.

Larke had been away to college (well it's not a real college, it's art school) for a semester now so lets take stock of the things that have changed:
1) now a pretentious art student
2) now makes out with girls (is this really a change?)
3) now listens to musicals and is a member of a group called "stephen sondhime is a god."
4) is not offended by anything anymore (including dead baby jokes, so tell away darling )
5) now pretends to be a real new yorker

Things that have not happened:
1) Not an alcoholic (YES!)
2) Not in a healthy relationship (crap)
3) not written something that will will the Tony (shit)
4) not a smoker (well, not a regular smoker)

I come back someday, er Sunday, guess I still can't spell.
Love you all
Larke

well well. Guess what's happening on Dec. 31st... THE GIRL COMES TO MISSOULA. Right, so you all get to meet Elaine Campbell and appreciate her. You better appreciate her. Let's come up with mad plans for New Year's Eve/day eh wot?
Also, I think a stenciling party (spray paint, exacto knives, etc) should be in order over break.
Looking forward to seeing you all. I'm home the 22nd. Tomorrow I go to boston for a few days, then fly home. hooooooooome... Sorry, just finished my last paper.

All:

I was home today. Or above home. For about half an hour. Then they told us it was too foggy, they wouldn't let us land, and sent us back to SeaTac. I took it surprisingly well considering how avidly I have been looking forward to getting home. Then, of course, I ended up having to stay at the airport another 3+ hours for various stupid reasons. Now I'm tired and cranky. I've decided to get on a Greyhound tomorrow morning at 8:15 a.m. and have high hopes of making to Missoula before midnight.

In the meantime, I'm on hold (going on twenty minutes) trying to get my plane ticket refunded.

I really really want to see all of your friendly faces right now... but I will settle for seeing them at some point within the next two weeks.

Hello all, glad to see that I can validate many of our friendships via thefacebook.com now. I'm back in town as well. Got a Christmas tree today, and plan on scarfing down on some MacKenzie River Pizza shortly. I'm quite disappointed in the lack of snow, but its nice to be home. It does seem different, Chris, I agree. I drove around last night for a while trying to find myself, it felt good, but Missoula isn't how I remembered it. I hate North Reserve more than ever now, but I admit, I have seen a movie at the Carmike 10, and hung out at Barnes and Noble. I'm a slave to capitalism. I hope to see many of you soon.

Love,
Caitlin

wasting time listening to different versions of cannon in D. The original is the best. I don't think I've ever come this close to insanity before. The grades are suffering, as is the social life, but, on the plus side, for ten minutes this morning I was sure I had found the equation to the world, which was pretty exciting. In short, I can't wait to get back to missoula for a break. What say we play with snow in a park with homemade wine and hot chocolate afterwards? I finally found mountaingoat... and lots of it... well, thats it for now.
